What is the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&Rs)?
The Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, commonly known as the “CC&Rs,” is the principal governing document of the Oakwood Lakes Community Association. Essentially, it sets forth the limits imposed on our properties and our uses of those properties as part of a planned community within the governmental areas in which we live (City of Chandler, County of Maricopa, State of Arizona). The CC&Rs are a part of our overall Governing Documents that, in addition to the CC&Rs, include the Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and Association Rules and Regulations. The CC&Rs are contained in two files. The first is the original document that was formally recorded with the Maricopa County Recorder's Office on 2/07/96. The second file defines the First Amendment made to the CC&Rs by the builders of the Oakwood Lakes community in order to redefine the use of the Lake in our community, and was formally recorded with the Maricopa County Recorder's Office on 3/19/96.
